STATE SCIENCE DAY 2012

STATE SCIENCE DAY 2012 was held Saturday, May 5, and hosted by The Ohio State University. Approximately 1,450 students attended from all over the state. Scholarships and Awards totaled $2,262,990. Anna received the following awards:
 
* SUPERIOR rating for physics project.
 
* Arthur Holly Compton Scholarship in Science at The College of Wooster. This award consists of a $18,500 annual scholarship to attend The College of Wooster. The scholarshipis renewable for three additional years pending satisfactory progress toward a B.A. degree. Total value of scholarship: $74,000.
 
* Governor's Award for Excellence in Environmental Protection Research - $100 and certificate
 
* Society of Petroleum Engineers Award - $300 and plaque
 
* Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program Award - $100
 
* Five-Year Award for presenting at State Science Day five consecutive years
 
An Abstract of Anna's science work was also published for the fourth consecutive year in the April issue of The Ohio Journal of Science, vol 112 (p. A-43; poster board No. 38). I have a copy of the magazine, if needed.
