AUTISM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Autism Scholarship Program allows ODE to pay a scholarship to the parents of a qualified child with autism. The scholarship gives parents a choice of sending their child to a special education program, other than the one operated by their child’s school district, to receive the services outlined in the child’s individualized education program (IEP).

The Autism Scholarship Program for 2009-2010 begins July 1, 2009 and continues through June 30, 2010.

Please note that individuals/entities approved as registered private providers for the purpose of the Autism Scholarship Program (ASP) may not provide all services required by a child’s individualized education program (IEP). Parents should ensure that all services included on their child’s IEP will be/are being provided by a registered private provider(s) approved to provide services under the ASP.
